With over 250 million footballers worldwide, you would think there would be a wide range of names.
While that is the case, when it comes to the letter Q, there aren’t that many players whose name begins with it or even has it in their name.
Despite it being quite rare, there are some decent footballers who have Q in their name, and in this post, I will take you through 7 of them who have played at a high level.

If you ask anyone to think of a footballer beginning with Q, they may struggle; however, if they do think of one, then Portuguese international Ricardo Quaresma may be the first one that comes to mind.
A gifted player who, you could argue, had the potential to achieve more and do more in the sport is still recognized as a quality footballer who is still going strong at 38.
While being in the same shadow and age as national teammate Cristiano Ronaldo hasn’t helped matters, he has struggled to live up to expectations since rising the ranks at Sporting Lisbon.
The player who currently plays for Vitoria Guimaraes has managed to win many trophies, including league titles in Portugal, Italy, and Turkey.

David De Gea is next on the list, and while many football fans won’t know he has a Q in his name, his second/maternal name is Quintana.
The Spanish international who has a Q in his name who is also one of the highest-paid players in the world hasn’t enjoyed had the best few years of late.
A loss of form and confidence has seen him lose his place in the Spanish international team, while below-par performances have seen him lose his tag as the best keeper in the world over the past couple of seasons.
While he may have struggled, there is still faith that the once highly regarded keeper can return to his best.

3. Allan Marques Loureiro
Even before moving to his current club Everton, Brazilian midfielder Allan has been showing his class for years.
He got praises around Europe for his defensive displays for Napoli, during which he played 168 games during a 5-year spell between 2015 and 2020.
In the 2017/18 season, he was part of the Napoli side that challenged Juventus all the way until the last game, with them just falling short by one point finishing the campaign second.

Next up, we have Lucas Vazquez of Real Madrid, a player who has been a solid squad member and shown his versatility playing both as a right-back and a right midfielder.
